🇳🇴 From first chair to last lap, our U14 crew made the most of their time at the SNO indoor facility—stacking run after run in a consistent environment that’s perfect for building confidence and technique.

Off the snow, they took advantage of dryland training opportunities and even squeezed in a bit of Norwegian culture along the way.

A big block of work, lots of progress, and plenty of fun. Safe travels home! ⛷️💪

The GMVS U14 crew is getting after it in Norway 🇳🇴 at the SNO indoor facility!

Indoor training offers a uniquely consistent environment—perfect for dialing in slalom technique, building confidence, and putting in serious volume. 🎿

Focused work + high reps = big SL gains. And between sessions athletes are diving into injury prevention and conditioning—building habits that support long-term performance.

Let’s go!

From distance sessions to a gritty running time trial, the crew is putting in the work in Italy! 🇮🇹

They’ve been soaking in the beauty of the Südtirol—logging miles on picturesque mountain trails and taking in views that don’t get old. While the focus is on training, they’ve also been able to take in the local culture in Mals—gelato, espresso, and more.

The highlight? An overnight stay at Maseben Hut, where the training meets a true alpine experience.

Work hard, recover well, repeat.

Meet the GMVS Team: Krista Parke

Continuing our series introducing new faces and roles at GMVS, we’re excited to welcome Krista Parke, who joined the Business Office in June as Business Manager & Senior Accountant.

Krista brings her expertise to the financial operations of the school and is an important part of supporting the day-to-day work that keeps GMVS running smoothly.

She lives in Stowe and enjoys spending her free time outdoors with her husband, Christian, their two daughters, Johanna and Maddie, and their black lab, Cisco.
We’re excited to have Krista as part of the GMVS community.

Welcome to GMVS, Krista!

The team has landed in Mals, Italy! They’ll spend the week training in the Venosta Valley before heading to Germany for week two of camp at an indoor ski tunnel. For now, they’re soaking in mountain views in every direction and taking advantage of all the dryland training terrain a Nordic athlete could ask for. ⛰️

Meet the GMVS Team: Madaileine “Mags” Kingsbury ’00

Continuing our series introducing the new faces, expanded roles, and fresh expertise joining the GMVS community this year, we’re excited to welcome Madaileine “Mags” Kingsbury ’00 back to GMVS as a U14 coach.

Mags attended GMVS for seven years and was a member of the U.S. Development Team, traveling extensively throughout Europe and competing at the international level. She began her collegiate ski career at the University of Utah before transferring to the University of Vermont, where she served as team captain and competed at the NCAA Championships.

Having experienced the journey from youth development through elite junior and collegiate racing, Mags is passionate about helping young athletes develop both on and off the hill. She especially enjoys working with U14 athletes as they build confidence, independence, and a strong foundation of skills while embracing both the challenges and fun of ski racing.

Outside of skiing, Mags is a mom of three boys and loves staying active. She is an avid mountain biker and ultra runner, having completed a 100K as well as numerous 50-mile races.

We’re thrilled to have Mags back at GMVS and excited for her to share her passion for skiing, competition, and personal growth with our U14 team.

Welcome back to GMVS, Mags!
