Alumni Meeting Thursday November 13. This is a meeting for anyone who supports Waitsburg FFA.

Will be planning events to support two students travel to Washington DC for the Washington Leadership Conference.

You can support in many ways. If you do not think you can make meetings, you can pay the $20 dues that helps get other fundraisers off the ground.

We would love to see you at the meeting and share ideas.

After years of speculation, Columbia County residents can finally rest easy knowing the mysterious white-wrapped bales dotting the countryside are not for cows at all — but rather, part of the annual Stay Puft Marshmallow Harvest.

According to sources close to the operation, the colossal confections begin growing in early summer when sugar-rich dew settles on open fields. By August, they’ve puffed up to full size, and farmers wrap them in glossy white plastic to keep them from roasting prematurely in the sun.

Come October, the sweet, spongy giants are “harvested” using specialized machinery and shipped to s’more factories nationwide. “It’s sticky work, but someone’s gotta do it,” said one farmer, wielding a pitchfork coated in marshmallow fluff. “If you listen closely on a cool night, you can even hear them squeak.”

Officials warn motorists not to lick or poke the bales, as this can cause spontaneous campfire formation.

🔥🍫 “It’s been a good marshmallow year,” another farmer added. “Perfect weather for fluff.”
