So proud of our Waipahu High School AHS and CHW students for representing our school at the 16th Annual HawaiΚ»i Health Workforce Summit at JABSOM! πŸ’™

It was a great opportunity for all of our students to learn, network, and hear about the challenges facing HawaiΚ»i’s healthcare workforce.

A special moment was seeing Governor Josh Green, M.D., who was happy to see our CHW students and has supported the program since it started at Waipahu High School. Due to anticipated impacts from Hurricane Lowell, all HIDOE public schools and offices on OΚ»ahu and in KauaΚ»i County will be closed Tuesday, Sept. 8. This includes all public schools on OΚ»ahu, all public schools on KauaΚ»i, Niihau High & Elementary School, and Department offices on both islands.

All school-related activities in the affected counties scheduled for Tuesday are also canceled, including athletic events and practices, extracurricular activities, meetings and other school events.
