Another year has passed and we have two amazing graduates 🎓 to congratulate. We hope and pray that they continue to flourish, thrive & keep the joy of learning alive in their lives. Cheers to their bright futures! 😁🥂

As our school year has come to an end & omas we prepare to welcome the newest member to our Joyful family, we have decided to take a break and temporarily close Joyful Montessori. We want to take this time to cherish our new family member and enjoy this special moment 👶🩵.

Montessori Language 🔡

In the Montessori classroom, we start with the basics of reading - the phonics. By teaching the beginning sounds like /a/ for apple and /m/ for mat, we lay a strong foundation for the little ones. We then move on to letter sound association using the sandpaper letter materials. This approach fosters a love for reading and helps them develop a strong foundation in reading.

Montessori math! 🔢

Through the use of hands-on materials, María Montessori observed the capability of children to learn incredible math skills 😄.

In a Montessori classroom, you'll see children counting to 100, solving addition, multiplication, division & subtraction problems, how to write numbers and so much more! 🤗

Montessori classrooms provide many enriching activities that prepare & teach the child 👧🏽 reading 📖 & writing ✍️.

Dr. Montessori understood that children learn best when they work with their hands. For this reason, you'll find many hands-on activities in our classroom including language!

We have been busy cooking, baking, & decorating for our Ohana Thanksgiving. It has been a time where all those practical life skills our keiki have been practicing are used!
