Meet Our Instructors: Farnaz  💙
We are so happy to feature Ms. Farnaz, Instructor at Kumon of Oak Ridges – Yonge St., and share the story that inspired her journey as a Kumon Instructor.
Her Kumon journey began as a parent after enrolling her son in the program when her family moved to Canada. As she watched him grow, she became inspired by the Kumon Method and the impact it could have on children and their confidence.
More than 10 years later, Ms. Farnaz continues to help students build strong academic foundations, discover their abilities, and see themselves in a whole new way.

Canadian students continue to stand among the world’s top performers! 🇨🇦📚
According to the latest PISA results, Canadian 15-year-olds ranked among the highest-performing students globally in science, while also demonstrating strong performance in reading and mathematics.
While there’s much to celebrate, the report also points to a gradual long-term decline across all three areas, reinforcing the importance of continuing to build strong academic foundations.

New research highlighted by EdTech Innovation Hub points to the positive impact supplemental education can have on student achievement, while also raising an important question: How do we ensure more students have access to those opportunities?
The study found that private tutoring centers were associated with increases in math and reading scores, while also highlighting disparities in who has access to these resources.
