Wow what a successful festival! Even the rain couldn’t keep the dancers away. Such a great community turnout, and the Maui Tropical Plantation was gorgeous. Loved the keiki parade!

MAUI! TONIGHT!!!
Who will control the future of East Mauiʻs water supplies? With 30-year water leases to a foreign corporation on the horizon, Maui needs another choice. Please join Sierra Club Maui for a roundtable panel discussion about our once in a generation opportunity to restore community control over our most precious resource through the establishment of an East Maui Community Water Authority.

As many of you know, Sierra Club Maui has been spending time on the 30-year water leases for East Maui and preventing them from going to a foreign corporation. Council member Shane Sinenci recently introduced a resolution for a charter amendment to establish an East Maui Community Water Authority - this represents an important step toward restoring community control of our most precious resource and brings management back into the hands of Maui people, where it has not been for over a century.

Sierra Club Maui is hosting a virtual discussion panel to give folks the opportunity to learn more about these issues. Please share with your networks and help us promote this important topic!
