Did you catch Principal Konno on HI Now Daily yesterday?! He revealed our school-wide quarterly incentive! Let’s get it, Seahorses!

Some of our classes earned their homeroom attendance incentive, from fresh, cold watermelon after lunch recess to a kendama competition! Amazing efforts on being present at WES!

This past weekend members of our staff opted to dedicate their Saturday to learning about coral from a coral scientist and author at Waikīkī Aquarium! They learned four different hands on activities addressing topics on anatomy, an edible coral model, coral bleaching, and microplastic filtration.

Coral is an integral part of our ecosystem, and we want to be best informed to teach our students to be aloha ‘āina stewards! Mahalo to Dr. Jackie, a UH alum, for providing necessary materials and ‘ike to take back to school, including two copies of her book in both English and ‘Ōlelo Hawai’i!

Way to go, Seahorses! Attendance is poppin’! It looks like we have some celebrating to do tomorrow and this week 🎉 Keep going! Principal Konno said he will dye his hair for 90% school-wide attendance throughout Q1!

Mahalo for getting your child out the door and to school on time. Remember, breakfast is at 7:15am with homeroom starting at 7:45am. Your child’s homeroom class is dependent on every keiki every day!
