Busy day at WMS...
Before parent/teacher conferences, we honored Mrs. Emily Potts as WMS teacher of the year.

And before that, GEAR UP provided professional development that included using our newly arrived "field medic kit training" materials that were purchased by the GEAR UP 4 LIFE grant. WMS teachers learned about sensory deprivation, blood pressure, fingerprinting, AEDs, concussion protocols, and artificial intelligence all crammed into 3 hours before parents started arriving for conferences. We are looking forward to teaching these valuable skills and perhaps a future in the medical field for our students!

Since my daughters "loved" mine and Mr. Alexander's school picture so much from last year, I thought I'd post this year's as well. 🤣

Don't worry, students received their pictures way before Christmas, ours just "somehow got lost" for a while. 🤣

We want to thank Wagoner Middle School Student Council and their sponsors, Mrs. Potts, French, and Forrest for sponsoring the 3rd annual WMS Winter Semi-formal.

It was as awkward as any order middle school dance, but I think they all had fun. 🤣

We also appreciate Wagoner City Council for allowing us to reserve the Civic Center to make it better than "the boring old school cafeteria."

Congratulations to the 1st ever Junior High Girls' State Champions for Wagoner...

Bella Hutcheson - 105 state champion! Bella had 3 pins and 2 tech falls en route to her state title. Including a crazy comeback pin in the final minute of the state finals!!

Braelynn Williams - 100 pound JH state champ!! She had 4 pins en route to a state championship with a total of just 2 minutes and 14 seconds of mat time!
