Good afternoon,
I hope this note finds you well. As we count down the days until the end of the school year, I wanted to take a second and invite you to our final events of the semester, which will sadly double as my final events as Director of Bands here in Wagener. I know I've said it many times, but I truly want to thank all of you for welcoming me with open arms when I first got here, as well as having faith in me as we worked hard to breathe life back into the band program. I am confident that the band can soon go back to its glory days of winning lower state championships. I hope you continue to support these students as they continue to pursue musical excellence.
THURSDAY, 05/14/26 - Jazz Concert - we will host esteemed guest and Assistant Professor of Jazz Studies at USC Columbia, Lauren Meccia, and perform our final jazz concert of the semester! 6:00 PM in HS Band Room 203
SATURDAY, 05/16/26 - Trophy Transfer - we will meet at the old WSHS, introduce the incoming Director of Bands, Mr. James Rochester, and move the trophies from the old WSHS to the new WSHS! 9:00 AM at OLD WSHS
TUESDAY, 05/19/26 - HS Concert - we will host a Spring Concert for the high school students. 6:00 PM in HS Band Room 203
THURSDAY, 05/21/26 - MS & HS Concert - we will have a combined group of MS and HS students playing our final program of the year, as well as present awards for the entire band program (marching, concert, jazz, etc.). 6:00 PM in HS Band Room 203
It has been an honor to be here and lead these young musicians over the past 3 years. I hope they will continue loving music and you will continue supporting them in every step of their journey.
