✨The official 2025–2026 Pop It & Drop It Collection results are here! ✨

We wanted to wait until the pop tabs were officially delivered before sharing this year’s totals and WOW, what a year it was! 💛

We’re so thankful to Mrs. Deehr and her kids, who took a special trip to the city today to deliver 289.2 lbs of pop tabs to the Ronald McDonald House! 🏠💛 These tabs help support the families who stay there, and we are so grateful for everyone who helped make this collection possible.

And now for this year’s Pop It & Drop It Challenge winners! 🎉

🥉 3rd Place: 4th Grade — 42.4 lbs
🥈 2nd Place: 8th Grade — 50.4 lbs
🥇 1st Place: Kindergarten — 55.2 lbs 🐝

This was our 6th year collecting pop tabs, and over those 6 years, our SPS community has collected an incredible 1,633.36 lbs! 🎉

Every single tab makes a difference, and we cannot thank our students, families, and friends enough for their continued kindness and generosity. 💛

This week’s Try It Tuesday is all about curiosity and nature! After spotting a tiny egg on a milkweed leaf, this family brought it inside to see what would happen. They watched it hatch into a caterpillar and have loved observing it grow day by day. Now they’re eagerly waiting for its next amazing transformation into a chrysalis and, eventually, a beautiful butterfly! 🐛✨🦋
