☀️ A Hot Car Can Turn Deadly in Minutes ☀️
As temperatures rise, it's important to remember that children should never be left alone in a vehicle—not even for a minute.
🚗 Even on a mild day, the temperature inside a parked car can climb dangerously fast. A child’s body heats up 3–5 times faster than an adult’s, putting them at serious risk for heatstroke, brain injury, or even death.
Help protect our little ones:
✅ Always check the back seat before locking your car.
✅ Place your phone, purse, or work bag in the back seat as a reminder.
✅ Lock your vehicle to prevent children from climbing inside.
✅ If you see a child alone in a hot car, call 911 immediately.
Together, we can prevent these tragedies. One quick check can save a life.

Parents, caregivers, first responders: this message is for all of us. Tragic incidents involving children left in hot cars can occur at any time (not just on the hottest days of summer!), and they can affect anyone.

These heartbreaking, yet preventable events often stem from distractions, changes in routine, or our busy lives. In North Carolina alone, 50 children have lost their lives due to being left in vehicles.

To help safeguard our little ones:
🚗 Place your phone, purse, or work bag in the back seat
⏰ Set a reminder to check your car
👀 Always look before you lock
