Strong schools and families work together! Parent/teacher conferences are a chance to celebrate progress, talk through questions, and make a plan for each child’s growth.

📅 Middle and High Schools:
Thursday, October 22, 2:00–6:00 p.m.
Middle/High Schools ONLY dismiss at 1:00 p.m.

📅 Elementary Schools:
Thursday, October 29, 1:30–5:30 p.m.
Elementary Schools ONLY dismiss at 12:30 p.m.

Schools will share scheduling details soon. If the conference date or time does not work for your family, your school will work with you to arrange another time.

🐾🎉 CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2026–27 SGA OFFICERS! 🎉🐾

We are excited to congratulate our newly elected Student Government Association (SGA) officers! 🧡💙

Each candidate had the opportunity to campaign, share their ideas, and earn the support of their peers. We are proud of every student who stepped up, put themselves out there, and demonstrated leadership!

🗓️ATTENDANCE MATTERS!

What does it mean to be chronically absent?

According to NCDPI, a student is considered chronically absent after missing 10% or more of the school days in which they are enrolled, for any reason. This includes both excused and unexcused absences.

In Anson County Schools, missing 17 days during the school year reaches that threshold. Just two absences each month can quickly add up.

This is not about blaming families when a child is sick or when circumstances make attendance difficult. It is about recognizing patterns early, understanding the barriers behind the absences and connecting students and families with support before valuable learning time is lost.

Every day provides another opportunity for students to learn, build relationships and access the many services our public schools provide.

This work directly supports Priority I: Student Learning & Success, including Goal 1.4 to reduce chronic absenteeism by 15%.

🚌 Interested in becoming a school bus driver for Anson County Schools? Our Virtual Bus Driver Classes are offered every two weeks, with instruction held Monday–Wednesday from 8:30 AM–5:00 PM. If you’re interested in earning your bus license and joining our transportation team, we’d love to hear from you!
