Understanding potential budget shifts helps provide clarity on district operational planning.

If Proposition 438 is not approved, the Agua Fria High School District would face an estimated $12 million in annual budget reductions over a three-year period.

Here is a look at the specific operational areas that would be affected:

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Career Academies: Programs including Nursing, IT, and Construction Trades.
๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Campus Security: Staffing for School Resource Officers and safety personnel.
๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿซ Staff Retention: Compensation structures that support recruiting and retaining qualified personnel.

What is Proposition 438, and why does it matter for our schools? ๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธโœจ

Prop 438 is a continuation of Agua Fria High School Districtโ€™s existing Maintenance & Operations Budget Override. It funds critical day-to-day essentials, like keeping high-quality teachers in classrooms, maintaining campus safety personnel, and expanding career programs like Nursing, IT, and Trades.

Best of all? It maintains our current voter-approved funding with no tax rate increase! Without it, our district faces over $12 million in annual budget reductions.

Follow along every week as we share what this means for our students and community!
