🚒🔥 A Fun Visit to the Fire Station! 👨‍🚒

Our First Years Academy kiddos had so much fun visiting the Waconia Fire Station! ❤️

We had a great time learning about firefighters, exploring the fire trucks, and seeing some of the amazing equipment they use to help keep our community safe! 🚒

A HUGE thank you to the Waconia Fire Department for taking time out of their busy day to show our little learners around and make this such a fun and memorable experience! We appreciate all that you do for our community! ❤️🧯

First Years Academy is excited to be tomorrow night’s sponsor for Power of Produce! 🌱

Stop by the Waconia Farmers Market on Thursday, August 20th, say hello, and enjoy a fun evening supporting our local community and encouraging kids to explore fresh fruits and veggies! 💚

We hope to see lots of familiar FYA faces there! ☀️🍓🥦

🌱🌻 Our Garden in a Box Adventure! 🌽🍅

This year, First Years Academy was excited to participate in the Garden in a Box program! With the help of the Master Gardeners, our school-age children rolled up their sleeves and planted an amazing garden.

Together, they planted tomatoes, peppers, pumpkins, carrots, corn, beans, wildflowers, and sunflowers. Throughout the summer, they've loved watering the plants, watching them grow, and learning where food comes from.

They can't wait to harvest what they've grown and enjoy the fruits (and vegetables!) of their hard work.

☀️ We can't believe it's already July! Summer is flying by, and we've been having so much fun at First Years Academy! 💙

This week, we enjoyed Bounce House & Bubble Day 🏰🫧, beautiful weather for Bike Day 🚲, and took our learning outside for our Outdoor Classroom. Although our splash pad field trip was canceled due to the weather, some of our classrooms made the most of it by having fun playing in the rain! 🌧️💦

We can't wait to see what the rest of summer has in store! ☀️
