We are SO excited to see everyone tomorrow night at Open House! Come hungry, because Chef Asha and the Women of St. Joseph are ready to serve a delicious meal to your family!

BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT IS ALMOST HERE!

The first day of school is right around the corner, and we’re ready to celebrate with our St. Joe’s families!

Join us for Back to School Night on Wednesday, August 26, from 4:30–7:00 PM!

Bring your school supplies, meet your teachers and say hello! Check out your homeroom and get familiar with your new space! Reconnect with friends and get those first-day-of-school butterflies out of the way! And, of course, enjoy delicious hot dogs & brats served by Chef Asha and the Women of St. Joseph!

It’s the perfect chance to get settled, see familiar faces, meet new ones, and get excited for another amazing year at St. Joe’s!

It’s beginning to look a lot like the 1st day of school!

Our teachers have had a couple of busy days getting their classrooms ready to welcome our students back to campus, and we just had to share a peek at some of these adorable bulletin boards!

And this is only the beginning! There will be plenty more prepping, decorating, and final touches happening next week as we get closer and closer to that first school bell.

A HUGE thank you to St. Joe’s alumna Ellie Stepaniak!

We are so grateful for the incredible donation of office and school supplies from Ellie Stepaniak, a St. Joe’s alumna from the Class of 2009, and her team at Lazard!

As their Minneapolis office prepares for a move, they found themselves with a surplus of supplies, and Ellie thought of her alma mater! Instead of letting these items go to waste, she generously offered them to St. Joe’s.

Glue sticks, pens, binders, three-hole punches, staplers, mechanical pencils, folders, paper clips, binder clips, notebooks, poster board…and the list goes on!

These supplies will be put to great use by our teachers, staff, and students throughout the school year. We love seeing our alumni continue to find ways to support and give back to the St. Joe’s community!

Thank you, Ellie and Lazard, for thinking of St. Joe’s and helping us stock up for another great year! We appreciate your generosity more than you know!

That’s a wrap on Summer Saints & Summer Little Saints!

Our last day of summer programming has arrived, and what a summer it has been! The kids had a fantastic time staying active, making memories, having fun, and sneaking in a little learning along the way.

A huge thank you to our Preschool and Saints staff for keeping the days fun, engaging, and interesting while providing such wonderful care for our kids all summer long. We are so grateful for all you do!

We are just one month away from Nickle Dickle Day and St. Joe’s 33rd annual 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament and Slam Dunk Contest!

On Saturday, September 19, players from 3rd grade through adults will take over the courts at St. Joseph Catholic School for a full day of 3 on 3 basketball, followed by an evening of entertainment with the Slam Dunk Contest and Three Point Shootout! With hundreds of players, families and fans expected to attend, it’s sure to be an exciting day in Waconia!

A dance party is always a good idea when it’s time to get the wiggles out in our Little Saints program!

Besides being a great way to get moving and have some fun, it’s also a sneaky way to practice those listening skills! Our Little Saints listen carefully to the directions in the music and do their best to follow along. Some are more successful at it than others, but it is a work in progress and the resulting dance is an absolute gold mine of cuteness!

We’ll take all the wiggles, giggles, and adorable dance moves we can get!

The first day of school is coming faster than we know it!

To help ease some of our littlest learners’ apprehensions about starting school, Mrs. Moyer, our kindergarten teacher, will be sharing a series of books that may bring a little comfort and peace to those first-day-of-school feelings.

This Monday’s story is I Love You Because You’re You by Liza Baker.

A sweet reminder that no matter what, you are loved—exactly as you are.

Join us in the coming weeks for Story-time with Mrs. Moyer as she shares another story to help our youngest learners (and their grown-ups!) get ready for a wonderful start to the school year!
