Recently there have been questions concerning lease terminations related to sexual/domestic violence in the State of Texas. Two out of three Baylor students live off campus and may not know that they have protections under Texas law in certain circumstances. This past week we successfully held our second annual Christmas in October event on Martin Plaza! Hundreds of students stopped by to interact with our exhibit and learn about the signs of an unhealthy relationship in honor of . This year we were also so fortunate to partner with and feature a component where students could sign ornaments to hang up on a yellow Christmas tree as a pledge against domestic violence!
Thank you to all who stopped by our exhibit! We encourage everyone to take a stand against interpersonal violence and get involved with our organization if you'd like to help make an impact on campus. @ Baylor University

It's On Us BU is proud to announce our event for Domestic Violence Awareness Month! Our second Christmas in October will take go up on the evening of Wednesday, October 16th and will be on display until Friday, October 18th in Martin Plaza outside the SUB. We are so happy to be partnering with for this year's event to prevent sexual violence and raise awareness of the signs of an unhealthy relationships! We encourage everyone to stop by and take an ornament to show your support.

And that's a wrap! This past weekend the It's On Us BU team attended the first ever national leadership summit in Athens, Ohio! We met so many amazing leaders from across the country and learned a lot from each other about getting our message out in an effective and powerful way. We can't wait to get back on campus later this month! Stay tuned for more updates on our first meeting time/date and other important information.
