Retro Runway is strutting back through the decades — and you’re invited!

Get ready for a fabulously fun fashion event showcasing vintage styles from the swingin’ 60s, the groovy 70s, and the bold, glam 80s — all in support of The Yellow Cottage Kitchen.

From bell-bottoms to shoulder pads, platform shoes to power suits, you’ll experience a runway celebration of iconic looks that defined a generation (or three!). Expect music, movement, and moments that sparkle with nostalgia — plus plenty of surprises.

What an unforgettable evening at the Mark Wood concert hosted at University High School on May 2nd 2026!

The performances were absolutely incredible, and one of the most inspiring parts of the night was watching the talented students perform alongside such amazing musicians. These young performers are filled with creativity, talent, and determination, and it is exciting to imagine the bright futures ahead of them.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this special night possible and to the families and community members who came out to support these wonderful students! We are so proud of each and every performer!

We hope you enjoy all of these fabulous images and see the enthusiasm of the students involved and thank you to Larry Carpenter and all the University High Teachers that helped make this event happen.

Toured and performed with: Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, Lenny
Kravitz, Celine Dion and many others
26 years of educational outreach, “Electrify Your Symphony”

Laura Kaye:
Received her training from famed vocal coaches Don Lawrence
(Lady Gaga, Mick Jagger) and Katie Agresta (Annie Lenox, Cyndi
Lauper)
Has worked with James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Lenny Kravitz,
Sean Lennon, and more
Has worked with choirs ranging in size from 10 to well over 1,000
students.
For the past 26 years, she has toured extensively with electric
violinist Mark Wood and their groundbreaking Electrify Your
Symphony music education program.
