Hello, my name is Anita Henderson, and I am excited to join the Brook Avenue family as an ESL 2nd Grade Teacher! 👋🏫

My previous teaching experience includes Pre-Kindergarten, the Parents as Teachers Home visiting program, Head Start and McLennan Community College. 🍎 I am committed to fostering a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. This year I will strive to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning among students. 💡

My education includes an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Development from Ivy Tech State College. I also hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Family Studies, as well as a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, both from Tarleton State University. 🎓📚

With an educational foundation in early childhood development and family studies, I am committed to a holistic approach to education. 🌟 It is my goal to work alongside families to make positive connections between the school, families and the community. 🤝🏡
