Lake Air Montessori PDS Lake Air Montessori in Waco ISD Waco ISD established its first Montessori magnet school in 1994 at the Doris Miller campus.

In 1998, the campus relocated to our next home at 3005 Edna Avenue and changed names to Lake Waco Montessori. The growth and interest in Montessori education has continued to thrive ever since. The 2012-2013 academic year marked the first time the Lake Air Montessori campus opened its doors as Montessori programs were consolidated for Waco ISD. Our success and continued improvement is attributed t

👀👂👃🖐️👅 Learning Through Our Five Senses! | ¡Aprendiendo con nuestros cinco sentidos! 🌟

This week, Ms. Galvan’s class has been learning all about the Five Senses (Los Cinco Sentidos)! Today, students put their sense of taste (el gusto) to the test! 👅

Students explored three different flavors:
🍋 Sour — Ácido
🍭 Sweet — Dulce
🥨 Salty — Salado

It was SO much fun tasting each flavor and watching everyone’s hilarious facial expressions! 😂😝😋

What a fun way to turn learning into an experience students can taste, see, and remember! 💚🐆

📚🎉 WE COMPLETED OUR FIRST BOOK STUDY!!! 🎉📚

Our 2nd grade readers in Mrs. Rojas’ class had so much fun diving into Junie B. Jones: The Monster Under the Bed! 👻📖

Throughout the book study, students strengthened their reading skills by:
✨ Making predictions
✨ Sequencing events
✨ Identifying key details
✨ Discussing characters
✨ Making connections
✨ Retelling the story from beginning to end

And the learning didn’t stop there! 🎨 Students got creative and designed their very own Flatso! 👻💚

After all that reading, learning, creativity, and hard work, these growing readers earned a very special reward… PAJAMA DAY! 🥳🛌📚

We are SO proud of these students and the joy they are finding in reading! One book down and so many more adventures ahead! 💚🐆

Our students were greeted this morning by the Waco High Lions, and what a special welcome it was! 🥰

These young gentlemen showed so much grace, courtesy, and kindness—opening car doors, offering warm greetings, and making our students feel welcomed and special. The smiles on our students’ faces were absolutely priceless! 💚

We are so proud to see our students being greeted by such wonderful role models in our community. What a beautiful example of Leopard Pride meeting Lion Pride! 🐆🦁
