Hello families! My name is Allie Blevins and I’m so excited to join Waco Elementary this year and teach kindergarten. I have my bachelors degree in Elementary Education from EKU. As a first year teacher, it’s important to me to establish a welcoming and inclusive space. I have such a passion for teaching and building positive connections in the classroom.

Outside of the classroom, you can find me spending time with my family & friends, at the gym or playing with my dog, Abel.

Waco has been welcoming since day 1 and I’m so glad I get to be apart of this school. I’m looking forward to the rest of the year with your kiddos. It’s a great day to be a Cardinal! ❤️

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to begin my career as a kindergarten paraprofessional at Waco Elementary! When you have a true passion for working with kiddos, it’s impossible to stay away from the classroom. ❤️

I am so excited to see what the future holds and am proud to call Waco Elementary my new home away from home. Here’s to a wonderful first year as a Cardinal with the best staff and kids around!

🌱🌻 Science is even better when we can get our hands dirty! 🌻🌱
Mrs. Courtney was able to take one of her Science classes out to the Waco Gardens yesterday and seeing our little scientists exploring a space we’ve watched grow and change was so exciting! ❤️🔬
We didn’t just talk about plants and living things…we got outside and experienced them! Students worked together to identify the different plants and flowers growing in our garden, pulled weeds, picked fresh green beans, and even cut a beautiful bouquet of flowers to surprise Principal Cromer. 💐 ❤️ Mrs Courtney can’t wait to get the other class out there next week!

Mrs. Helm’s 2nd graders discussed the importance of practicing safety drills. They asked questions and had meaningful conversations to ensure everyone felt safe and prepared. They also showed off their yellow!
