Coach Grimes passed away this afternoon. Please keep Evan & the entire family in your prayers.

For those of you who played for me when coach Grimes was assisting, please pray for he & his family. He is very ill.

For those who have asked, I will not be able to coach this season due to job responsibilities. The last 11 springs are among the most cherished in my life. To have the honor to love on those kids & teach them about life via our greatest game has been a privilege & blessing beyond description. To see those young men & women graduate & do great things for the kingdom has been my greatest joy in the entire process.
They are in good hands this spring with Ben Hayden at the helm, his enthusiasm & character will be of great benefit to those kids.
I love & will miss you all. God has blessed me richly through the relationships & opportunity to influence great kids at this indescribably fine school.
There are too many people to thank but I want to note the blessing that Gary Bender, Darrell Selke & Shannon Reynolds have been to me. To the parents, players, teachers, administrators & staff, thank you for loving & trusting me.

Yep, those of three of your Star diamond kids on that billboard right there. Maybe this is a baseball school after all!

Congratulations to eight of our Stars baseball players for making the all district team as voted on by the district coaches. Bishop Bradley was named to the first team, David Moran and Sam Stone were named to the second team and Jacob Dunn, Chas Howard, Josie Corbin, Seagan Stewart and Caleb Durham were named honorable mention. This is an amazing feat for each of these kids as the opposing coaches acknowledged their effort, attitude and quality of play. I am so proud of all of you and I love you all.

That's right! Two of your Stars on the diamond are also STARS in the classroom. David Moran & Jacob Dunn are co-valedictorians for the class of 2016. I'm proud of you guys & you have proven me to be right once again: Baseball is a thinking man's game. Way to go guys!!

I'm missing those little punks today.

Our season may be over but the memories will last a lifetime. I'm so proud of every kid, of their effort, passion, commitment, character & work ethic. It has been a fun & rewarding year that led us to having a chance to make the playoffs on the last day. I could not ask for a better group of kids & I sincerely love each & every one of you.
