As part of Baylor's America 250 celebration this year, the Concert Band will present a special semiquincentennial performance, featuring patriotic classics with Master of Ceremonies, Dr. Jules Sweet, professor of history & director of military studies.

Associate Professor of Musicology & Ethnomusicology Alfredo Colman, PhD, is celebrating the launch of his new book - Paraguayan Musical Nationalism in the Symphonies of Florentín Giménez.

We are pleased to announce the winner of the 2026 Semper Pro Musica Organ Competition.

Congratulations to Hyewon Park, APC '27, organ! Hyewon will perform a recital together with .korndoerfer at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York on May 22, 2026 at 7:30 p.m.

Bravo to all finalists on fabulous performances and special thanks to guest judge Dr. Martin Schmeding.

🎻First year violin performance major Nicholas Shih-Pogrebnoy wins the 2025-2026 Baylor Concerto Competition. 🎻

Nicholas is a student of .ekaviolinstudio and will perform Béla Bartók's Violin Concerto No. 2, Sz. 112 with the Baylor Symphony Orchestra during the 2026-2027 school year.
