🏆 Big News: We were voted Waco’s Best Public Elementary School! 🏆
We are absolutely thrilled to share some incredible news with you today. Thanks to our amazing community, Hillcrest has officially been named Waco’s Best Public Elementary School by the Wacoan! Thank you for making our school a place where children love to learn and grow!!

Today’s final destination was Mexico!💃Teachers and staff enjoyed a delicious lunch provided by Teresitas Birria! It was amazing and so many raved it was the best birria they’ve ever had! 😋
We had lots of yummy desserts as well! We had some local treats from Helados La Azteca Waco and Jimenez Bakery…plus some delicious homemade desserts that were gobbled up! Thanks to the parents who sent those to school so everyone could enjoy them!
This week has been a blast traveling around the world with the VERY BEST teachers and staff at Hillcrest PDS Elem Magnet!! 🐬
We, also, celebrated Dia de los Ninos today!! Classes got to visit the candy cart after lunch and each student selected a treat! 🍭

THANK YOU to Pop's Lemonade for bringing your truck and serving our teachers/staff a yummy lemonade! 😋 The very BEST lemonade!
Thursday was “Sweets from Around the World”! Everyone got to make a candy salad with different types of candy from around the world!

Wednesday’s destination was Paris! Everyone as able to fill a bakery box with mini croissants, macarons, sugar cookies, and mini quiches. We, also, had different flavored Perrier’s to choose from.
A big THANK YOU to Jordan Bledsoe for her time, creativity and expertise in making these stunning and delicious macarons!! Such a fun treat!!

Tuesday’s destination was Italy! Everyone enjoyed salad and pizza from the famous Baris Restaurant! And dessert was the yummiest gelato from Arancia Gelato & Bakery!!

Monday’s destination was New York City where teachers stopped by the Bodega for a cup of coffee and a yummy Bodega breakfast sandwich from House Party Catering & Events (owner Casey Hooper).

Don’t forget to bring your encouragement/thank you cards for the teachers and staff! Each morning at drop off there will be a blue mailbox in front and in the back where you can “mail” your cards!! 💌
