🏴‍☠️📚 What a fantastic year in the La Vega High School Library!

Our Pirates checked out 1,176 books, and we added 365 new titles to our collection. Thank you to all of our students who made reading part of their story this year!

Mrs. Hyde is already preparing for next year with even more new books on the way and can’t wait to welcome everyone back for another year of reading, learning, and discovery.

💙Just a reminder that all La Vega ISD schools and offices will be Thursday, June 18 and Friday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth.

💛Please note that all summer meal sites will also be closed. Regular Summer Meals will resume on Monday, June 22.

🚙 CAR WASH 🚗 CAR WASH 🚘
💙Join the Lavega 7on7 and LineMen Challenge State Qualifiers THIS Saturday from 10am-1pm in front of the high school for a car wash event that directly supports our athletes get to the state competition.
💛 These state tourneys are not UIL sanctioned, which means monies cannot come from the school. It must be raised/donated to take care of ALL expenses for the athletes.
💙 Every wash donation brings these hard working and deserving kids help to get to the State Competition.
🏴‍☠️ All donations are gratefully accepted.

🎉🏆 Congratulations to La Vega High School students Aum Patel and Giovanni Escobedo Lopez! 🏆🎉

We are proud to share that Aum and Giovanni have earned a FULL SCHOLARSHIP to attend the prestigious Governor’s Science and Technology Champions’ Academy at SMU this summer!

From July 19–24, these outstanding students will join some of the state's top young scholars for an immersive experience focused on science, technology, innovation, and leadership.

This is an incredible honor and a testament to their hard work, dedication, and achievement. We are excited to see them represent La Vega and take advantage of this amazing opportunity.
