May Checkrides ✈️

After a quiet April, our aviation students came back strong in May—and we’re excited to celebrate a big month of checkride success.

Congratulations to all of the students who earned certificates and ratings this month. Each practical test represents countless hours of studying, preparation, and commitment, and we’re proud to see that hard work pay off. From private through advanced ratings, these accomplishments mark important milestones and reflect the determination each student has shown throughout training.

A huge thank-you to our flight instructors for the time, mentorship, and steady support they provide every day. Your dedication continues to make a lasting impact on student success. We also want to recognize our Designated Pilot Examiners for their professionalism, time, and continued commitment to helping develop safe, knowledgeable, and capable pilots.

April may have been a little quiet—but May definitely reminded us what momentum looks like. Great work, everyone. Keep pushing forward, and we’re excited to see what’s ahead.

Spring Semester 2026 has officially come to a close, and we’re taking a moment to reflect with pride on everything our students have achieved. Their dedication, resilience, and steady progress throughout the term have been truly inspiring.

As we head into the summer months, we’re looking forward to warm, sunny days ahead and even more growth on the horizon. We’re excited for what comes next and can’t wait to welcome our next group of aviators as they begin their journeys in aviation.

April Checkrides
Congratulations to Mr. Carson Oshel, who earned his Instrument rating on April 16, 2026. This is a significant achievement and an important milestone in his aviation journey. We are proud of the dedication, discipline, and hard work demonstrated throughout his training.

A special thank you to his instructor, Mr. Houston, for the mentorship, preparation, and support that helped make this accomplishment possible.

The weather was not in our favor this month, which limited the number of checkrides completed. Even so, we’re looking forward to knocking out many more next month—our students are ready.

TSTC alumni reunion at American Airlines. Captain Mike Rogers and First Officer Travis Vaughn, both former TSTC students, recently had the opportunity to fly together. We are proud to see our graduates continuing to succeed in the aviation industry.

🎄Holiday Safety Stand Down 2025 🎄
Yesterday, our Aircraft Pilot Training program paused operations to refocus on what matters most — safety. Students participated in presentations covering aviation safety, general safety, and staying vigilant throughout the holiday season. We wrapped up the day with a team-building exercise, putting our own twist on Squid Games with “Aviator Games.” A valuable and engaging way to reinforce safety, teamwork, and situational awareness.

TSTC was proud to honor our veterans today. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve and support so many veterans—both within our pilot program and across all of our campuses. Thank you for your service and dedication.
