New World Screwworm (NWS) is primarily an agricultural issue, and the risk to humans remains low. Cases continue to be identified in Texas, and you may have questions.

According to the Texas Division of Emergency Management, Gov. Abbott has announced a new website to help connect Texans with the answers to those questions: screwworm.texas.gov

Do you or anyone you know need assistance during an emergency? The State of Texas offers the option to register with the STEAR program. This free registry provides local emergency management planners and responders with information about your needs during an emergency.
