Wow!!!! Well Done!!!

🧡 RECORD BREAKER ALERT 🧡

Freshman Teresina Cordes gave an outstanding performance this morning at the Mississinewa Invitational.

Teresina, affectionately known as Tesa, set the Mississinewa course record AND set a new Wabash school record with a time of 19:29.9!

Teresina shattered the previous school record of 20:22.5, originally set by Katherine Wilhelm.

Cordes not only accomplish this, but had done so with an almost 2 minute lead on her competition. Here soon, we’ll have some more Apaches flying in at those speeds!

Congratulations, Teresina! 🏃🏽‍♀️💪🏼🧡

The Wabash Lady Apaches hit the road bright and early Saturday morning to take on the Maconaquah Lady Braves. With beautiful weather and the sun shining, it was a great morning for soccer! ☀️⚽️

The Lady Apaches knew they were facing a talented Maconaquah team, and the Lady Braves came out applying pressure from the start. Wabash’s defense was put to work throughout the match, battling hard to slow down Maconaquah’s attack and working together to protect the goal.

Wabash finished the match with several different players stepping up and looking to create scoring chances. Despite creating several opportunities offensively, the Lady Apaches just couldn’t find the back of the net.

🧤 Brynn Lindsey (Sophomore) had another busy day in goal, finishing the match with an impressive 15 saves! Brynn continued to stand strong under heavy pressure and came up with save after save for the Lady Apaches.

After 80 minutes of play, the final score was Wabash 0 — Maconaquah 6. While it wasn’t the result we wanted, our girls continued to battle and never stopped working.

Games like this give us opportunities to learn, make adjustments, and continue growing as a team. There’s a lot of season left, and this group will keep putting in the work, supporting one another, and getting better together. 🧡🖤

The Lady Apaches will be back on their home field next week as they host the Rochester Lady Zebras! 🦓⚽️

📅 Tuesday, August 25th
⏰ 6:00 PM

Come out, fill the sidelines, and cheer on your Wabash Lady Apaches! 🧡🖤⚽️

Keep your heads up, ladies. We’ll be back to work! 💪🧡🖤
