As the hallways begin to fill with students, remember that your presence represents far more than safety and security. You are mentors, role models, problem-solvers, and trusted adults who have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people every single day.

Every conversation, every smile, every high-five or fist bump in the hallway, and every moment spent building relationships contributes to a safer, stronger school community. While we prepare for emergencies and remain vigilant, our greatest success will always be measured by the connections we build before a crisis ever occurs.
