Once again, Sharp Creek artists have had an excellent showing in the annual Symphony in Color contest! This state-wide contest sponsored by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra Association accepts only 7 entries per school. 4 of our 7 entries were awarded the state's highest award, a Gold Ribbon! Congratulations to Rice Dawes, Ella Clark, Ava Mills, and Sadie King! These students will be recognized at the Symphony in Color Awards ceremony this Sunday in Indianapolis.
Congratulations to our state finalists Natalie Black and Beckett Culver, and our school finalist Paisley Rife.
Way to go Sharp Creek artists!!!

It is Winter Street Banner Contest time again! CONGRATULATIONS to these Sharp Creek school finalists whose winter themed artwork was submitted to this annual contest facilitated by the Honeywell Center!
3rd graders: Jaeden Rosemeyer, Kinley Merrick, Mason Fishback, and Nevaeh Bingham
4th graders: Khloe Long, Brooklynn Laferney, Rowan Perez, and Connor McClure
5th graders: Caleb Nelson, Kayden Kelly, Everly Schenkel, and Hadlee Brubaker
6th graders: Nori Martin, Zoie Lyons, and Diem Rosemeyer

All finalist banners will be on display in the Clark Gallery of the Honeywell Center from November 13 - December 8.

Monday evening, 20 Sharp Creek Artists were honored at the annual Wabash County Schools Art Show, held at the Honeywell Center. These artists' pieces were selected from all the artwork created during this school year.
Special congratulations go to 3rd grader Miles Fitch, and 5th graders Julianne Turner, Alea Brown, and Diem Rosemeyer for having their artwork chosen to be made into a summer/fall street banners!
All of our artist's submissions will remain on public display at the Clark Gallery until May 12.

Weaving is always a favorite project in 4th grade. This year is no different! We have created a permanent loom that remains part of the artwork rather than being removed in the end. Students have also incorporated up to 7 different weaving patterns! This art form appeals to the technical side of the brain and builds organizational skills!

THIS SATURDAY! It's the biggest art show in the land!
View artwork from every student at Sharp Creek (and Metro North) as well as artwork from other Wabash county elementary students. While you're viewing art at the F.A.M.E. Festival, you can also enjoy Make-and-Take crafts, participate in actual art classes (all ages!), and even get your face painted! Doors open at 9am, and close at 4pm. SEE YOU THERE!

Today was a beautiful day to celebrate our amazing Symphony in Color Gold Ribbon winners at the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra Association headquarters, Hilbert Circle Theater! Congratulations to Aiden, Gwen, Grady, and Abbonie!
A surprise recognition was announced - “Top 8” artists, due to the judges’ struggle to narrow down just one winner amongst such great student artwork. We are so proud that Gwen and Grady are in that elite group!! Yahoo!

All 5th graders have learned about the famous abstract artist Pablo Picasso, and about his major contribution to art history- Cubism. Here is Mrs. Bretzman’s class creating mixed-media portrait collages in Picasso’s wacky multi-perspective style.
