Busiest day yet! Up early onto the bus for a tour of London. We saw ALL the things!

- Big Ben and Houses of Parliament
- Piccadilly Circus
- St. Paul’s Cathedral
- Westminster Abbey
We then had free time to explore on foot (and by TUBE!) some of the group attended Wimbledon, some to natural history museum and some to Oxford Street. (Drop your pics in the comments, kids!)
We ended the walkabout with fish and chips & then a smaller group elected to purchase tickets to Hamilton!!! ⭐️
What a way to end the trip.

The second half of Monday’s adventure involved riding into the heart of London (Piccadilly Circus) on the “tube”!
It was most of our groups first time on the subway and everyone did great.
We saw Trafalgar Square, river Thames, and explored lots of shops.
We will get a proper bus tour of London tomorrow so off to sleep we go!

First half of Sunday needs its own post!
Spent the morning at Stratford-Upon-Avon, visiting the birthplace of Anne Hathaway and William Shakespeare. We visited shops along the pedestrian only streets & have stopped for lunch at a local Italian restaurant.
Next: back on the coach for a drive into London!

Not many photos to share as today mostly was a travel day. We left Dublin early in the morning, boarded a Ferry and crossed over to Wales. We stopped & explored Conwy Castle and the surrounding town before boarding the bus and taking the long drive down into England. We had a late dinner at the hotel and then tucked in for the night!

Todays agenda included:
Bus tour of Dublin- Georgian Squares, O’Connell Street, & Phoenix park. The large cross marked the site where a reported 1.25 million people gathered for Mass held by Pope John Paul II in 1979.
next: walking tour around St Patrick’s cathedral. Johnathan Swift (author of Gulliver’s travels) was the dean of the cathedral and is buried on site. It was also the choir for the cathedral who first publicly performed Handel’s “Messiah”.
After lunch was a tour of the EPIC Irish Emmigration museum learning a bit about the troubles Irish residents have faced over the years (and in the not so distant past).

We ended the night with an Irish music and dance lesson (video in comments), and dinner at Taylor’s Pub before heading back to the hotel.

Visited Blarney Castle today and a good majority of our group was brave enough to lay on their backs, hang upside down and kiss the Blarney Stone! (Legend has it that this will give you the gift of eloquent speech- or “rizz” as the kids say).
The castle grounds are beautiful- full of gardens and wildlife. We then ventured to the Black Lion for dinner and have spent a more laid back evening at the hotel in Dublin. Tomorrow’s schedule is jam packed so stay tuned.

Wednesday we spent the day sightseeing - the Ring of Kerry is a circular route in county Kerry with breathtaking views of the Irish countryside and Atlantic Ocean. We also watched a sheepdog demonstration (video in comments if it loads!)
Thursday’s plan is to venture to Blarney Castle and kiss the Blarney Stone (if they’re brave enough) then end up in Dublin for the night. Stay tuned for more pics!
