Congratulations to Gail Brown upon receiving a proclamation in honor of her retirement from State Assemblymember Gabriella Romero. Library users know Gail Brown from her 25+ years of service to the Voorheesville Community. Her dedication to her work, resiliency, and enthusiasm to make connections within our community earned her the title of Librarian of the Year by the New York Library Association in 2021. The year before, her program, Nursery Rhyme & Fairy Tale Adventure Drive-Through Family Storytime won Program of the Year.

Gail has made a positive impact on all of the young people who have attended her storytimes, kindergarten visits, and, everyone's favorite, live animal programs! As Head of Youth and Family Services, she has made sure to include parents and caregivers too with family book discussions and helpful conversations on early literacy and the importance of reading. Gail works tirelessly to do the good work she knows our community deserves. We wish her the happiest retirement!

Time for a road trip? Head over to the Voorheesville Public Library to check out a museum pass to the Storm King Art Center in New Windsor, NY. One pass admits 2 adults and up to 4 children living in the same household. Thanks to financial support from the Friends of the Voorheesville Public Library, your local summer travels are more affordable with Museum Passes.
