We had so much fun welcoming back our VMS staff with a school year "tailgate" and a "game day" breakfast. We started off with tailgate snacks and a hydration station on Monday afternoon, along with some extra treats including a football and coffee themed raffle prize and a "Drafted by VMS" photo station. This morning staff enjoyed some "Game Day Fuel" in the form of a grab-and-go breakfast, juice, and coffee. We know that the 2026-2027 season is going to be a winning one with our amazing Viking staff!

Stop by on Monday, Sept. 7th between 5:00 and 6:30 pm to chalk the walk Viking style! We will have the chalk - you bring the creativity! Create your most school spirited chalk drawing or message on the school sidewalk and be sure to enter your masterpiece in our Chalk the Walk contest! We will post photos of the entries on our social media and voting will be open for one week. The chalk artist whose entry photo has the most "likes" will win a $20 credit to our fall spirit wear sale!

Don't miss your chance to have new spirit wear in September! The VMS PFA Summer Spirit Wear Sale is open until THIS SUNDAY!

We're excited to offer some new and exciting products this year. Our Spirit Wear Co-chairs have worked with VMS gym teachers over the summer to design a new gym uniform! But don't worry, if your student has the previous uniform, it still will be accepted. Also now available are fleece lined team jackets, full-zip travel jackets, pullovers, sweats, t-shirts, and pajama pants. We have included items especially for VMS staff like polo shirts, rain jackets, and more. Make sure your student is ready to show their school spirit this year!

It’s been a tremendous year for the VMS PFA! We carried on beloved traditions, created some new ones, had more parent volunteers than ever before, and strengthened the sense of community among families and with teachers and staff. Thank you to everyone who volunteered, contributed, supported, and participated in PFA activities this year. This afternoon VMS teachers and staff waved goodbye to their students as buses headed out for the last time this school year. We were thrilled to treat them to Mr. Softee before they left for their own summer break.

We've had the BEST couple of weeks celebrating our 8th graders! From the dance at The Mansion last week to the luncheon today, it's been the best kind of VMS Viking fun!

THANK YOU TO:
-Our VMS PFA 8th Grade Committee who worked throughout the school year to give our students these special experiences
-All of the families who contributed items and funds to make these events possible
-Each of our parent volunteers who gave their time (and muscles!) to event set up, chaperoning, and break down
-The VMS teachers and staff who came to the dance to greet their students
-VMS staff - including our amazing custodians - who helped at the luncheon
-Mr. Winsett, Mrs. Euler, Mrs. Inge, and Mrs. Ruff - and more! - who supported the PFA throughout this year
-Our awesome vendors - some we already knew and some were new to us this year- who worked hard to deliver fantastic products and services for our events

What a Night to Remember! ✨🎉

Our 8th Grade Dance was filled with laughter, music, friendship, dancing, and memories that will last a lifetime! 💃🕺📸

A huge thank you to our students, families, volunteers, staff, and supporters who helped make this celebration so special. Seeing our 8th graders having fun and making memories together was truly priceless.
