In 2014, shaleahlache made a pin for teachblackgirls that said “GOD MADE YOU A BLACK GIRL.” Her way of telling young girls that their being was God’s perfect design.

I never imagined I’d be so overwhelmed by the love and appreciation for what Uniquely You Summit did—but here I am, in the best way possible. To those of you that took the time to share your messages with me, my heart is deeply grateful.

And to truly soak it all in and reflect on what UYS has meant TO and FOR so many of you, I’ve decided to push back the launch date for my greeting cards. Your messages deserve my full attention! - Shaleah Laché

From Shaleah Laché Sutton, our founder:

Over the years, I’ve created spaces like Uniquely You Summit for many to grow and bloom… Over the last two decades, I’ve done many things where others were the sole beneficiaries. I’ve been on social media since my twins (now 20) were toddlers, so I’ve shared quite a bit here… Yet, I don’t think I’ve been as excited to share what I’m getting ready to share. I’ve created a place where I have been healing, affirming myself, nourishing myself, releasing the past, and opening myself up to wherever God wants to take me. I have created a place where I get to be the first beneficiary… for the first time in a veryyy long time.

I created a greeting card line, y’all. For me.

And FOR US.

And it is so beautiful, wonderful and meaningful… My original plan was to share once I was finished every bit of the journey in totality. If you know me or have worked with me, you know that’s my approach. But God is doing something different with me… The Almighty is reintroducing “trust”. And so, I get to introduce this journey to you all before I share the final product.

I am so personally fulfilled in a way that I don’t know I’ve ever been… It’s scary and simultaneously beautiful. Creating this greeting card line has taught me that I have a whole lot to say and express. And my own journey and life have been used in the most lovely and inspiring way.

I can’t wait to share all the little details.
