It’s 3.14 Pie Day! What is Pie Day? March 14 Pi Day, is a yearly celebration of the mathematical sign pi. Physicist Larry Shaw, started this idea in 1988. March 14 was selected because the numerical date (3.14) represents the first three digits of pi, and it also happens to be Albert Einstein’s birthday—the perfect pi-incidence.

Juneteenth is a holiday celebrated on June 19th to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved people in the US. The holiday was first celebrated in Texas, where on that date in 1865, in the aftermath of the Civil War, slaves were declared free under the terms of the 1862 Emancipation Proclamation.
