Ask Permission: 🌲👣🌿🌸💧🌎🙏
Before cutting the branch of a tree or removing a flower, tell the spirit of the tree or plant what you are going to do, so that they can withdraw their energy from that place and not feel the cut so strong.

When you go to nature and want to take a stone that was in the river, ask the river keeper if he allows you to take one of his sacred stones.

If you have to climb a mountain or make a pilgrimage through the jungle, ask permission from the spirits and guardians of the place. It is very important that you communicate even if you do not feel, do not listen or do not see. Enter with respect to each place, since Nature listens to you, sees you and feels you.

Every movement you make in the microcosm generates a great impact on the macrocosm.

When you approach an animal, give thanks for the medicine it has for you.

Honor life in its many forms and be aware that each being is fulfilling its purpose, nothing was created to fill spaces, everything and everyone is here remembering our mission, remembering who we are and awakening from the sacred dream to return home.

‘Escaping the rat race’ is held up as the pinnacle of freedom for adults. No more strict daily schedules to set an alarm for, no more time spent on work that has no meaning to us, no more grinding ourselves into the dirt for hours on end every day, week, month and year serving someone else’s interests, more time with family, more time to explore what we love, more time to serve others in meaningful ways...

I find this interesting, because there’s a pretty common perception out there that homeschooled children are missing out. That they’re all, to a greater or lesser extent, sheltered from valuable life experiences and opportunities to develop socially.

But if we pause there for a moment and step back...aren’t the many years most of us spend at school just the childhood leg of the race? A place we’re required to spend the majority of our time, week after week and year after year, whether we like it or not? A place where we’re asked to follow someone else’s guidelines, schedules and expectations? A hierarchical environment where most decisions are made by a small few, and where the vast majority have little to no say or autonomy? A place we sometimes use sick days to avoid? A place that continually asks us to take our work home?

A place we can’t, no matter how much we want out, just not show up to tomorrow.

If someone breaks free from a working grind they’re not thriving in we celebrate it. We congratulate them for taking back control over their time. Over what, and who, they spend it on. We applaud them for seeking out meaning. And we would never ask them where they’ll now get their life experiences, social interactions, personal growth opportunities or exposure to the real world from.

It’s time we got this very, very clear: home educated children aren’t sheltered, isolated or deprived.

They’re free.

It’s not you, mama. It’s the absence of the village.
