Announcing “Ocean Thursdays” with Haumea’s Garden! 🌊

Starting Thursday, August 26th, Haumea’s Garden Homeschool Group will meet at an outdoor location each Thursday!

On Aug. 26th, we’ll meet at Carlsmith Beach park in Hilo for ocean and nature play and learning activities under the gazebo.

☀️ 9am-3pm with Kumu Lele Heartloom
🌺 Must be existing or previously-enrolled student; new students must apply & register before attending (email [email protected])
☀️ Pm Kat Mulvaney about pricing for drop-offs or parent staying and helping
☀️ Bring real-food snack & lunch, water bottle, bathing suit, towel, sun hat, sunscreen and spare clothes; please put all in one bag that child can carry
🌺 Ages 4-8 (Pm for age questions)

We're so excited that our homeschool co-op has now officially moved into a new, larger space on our land just in time for the Summer Solstice!

Our outdoor classroom will now be used for our Plant Science class and much more, and we've just revealed our new in-ground trampoline!

We're open year-round, Mon-Thurs 9am-3pm and students are welcome 1-4 days a week. Accepting ages 3-10 approximately, and are more than happy to barter in exchange for the daily contribution.

Did you know our homeschool co-op in Volcano is open year round? 💃🏽💜

We take a week off for the summer solstice and another week off in August, but otherwise we’re accepting students for the summer. 💙🌸

If your child attends another school and you’re looking for some nature-based play and community this summer, let us know. Parents can work from our community center, and we have offerings like acupunture during school hours.

Today was another day of Heaven on Earth at Haumea’s Garden.

We climbed trees, traded legos, watered our seedlings, shared watermelon snacks, beat drums, ran in the fairy forest, made beaded jewelry, and sang our hearts out.

One parent served Acupunture clients in our fairy garden’s temple while her daughter played with her classmates and two others worked in our other shared work spaces.

Thank you Kumu Lele, and thank you to all the parents who support our beautiful co-op.

Saturday we will celebrate Beltane around our medicine wheel.
