Monte Vista is headed to the Children’s Discovery Museum in Escondido today from 1:00–3:00 PM! Come check out our student-created Coastal Oak Tree Interactive Exhibit, designed and built by our talented 4th graders in the Innovation Lab.

We’re excited to partner with the museum to showcase this special pop-up exhibit and celebrate student creativity, innovation, and environmental learning.

Big news to share—-Tonya Leslie and the Monte Vista Elementary Innovation Lab were named a 2026 STEAM Award recipient by the Classroom of the Future Foundation during its 23rd Annual Innovation in Education Awards! 🎉

Monte Vista’s Innovation Lab is inspiring TK–5 students through hands-on learning in design thinking, coding, robotics, entrepreneurship, and the arts—while empowering creativity, collaboration, and social-emotional growth. A true example of the “Pulse of Possibility” in action and a commitment to future-focused learning that prepares students to solve real-world challenges. 🚀👏

These sweet 3rd graders made homemade stress-relief squishies for their classmates to help ease nerves during state testing. Way to go, Bobcats! 🐾
