All winter we sat in our , waiting for spring to come. Some looked at our home and wondered if we would ever emerge. Suspended in a mason jar on single twig where our mother left us. Our steward looked in on us in our home each day, patiently waiting for us to emerge. Behold, the are here.

We are usually looking down at the with disdain. But the truth is that dirt has all the players that can help us ourselves and the planet which we will forever be tied to. We should protect it and look at it with all the wonder and respect that we give to the seas, the moon, our solar system, and the universe itself. No matter what inner or outer, higher or lower power you believe in. The soil beneath our feet is the foundation in which we build up from. And will return to when we have given up our mortal flesh. If we lose our connection with the , we are lost in space and time. This dirty little life form that was found deep in the mud has every bit and maybe more of a role to play in this world as any of us do. I give it the respect and gratitude that I ask of and to myself, and my counterparts that I share space and time with.
