What a great 2026 Strawberry Festival it was, great job to all of our demonstration students and everybody that supported us on Sunday. Can’t wait to see you back in class today!

Kick.

Sometimes the sounds are so loud that all the little fledglings freeze still inside the dark safety of the nest.

But Fledge always crawls back toward the ledge to peek again.

What is happening down there?

It’s almost here! Don’t forget we have a demo on the stage right across from Pepper Tree Frosty that starts at 9 AM and we have a booth on Main Street just a couple of doors down from Handel’s ice cream.

Students, if you wear your Karate T-shirt or uniform and visit our booth you will earn a red star in honor of the strawberries that we all love.

Students who are doing the demo please make sure you are ready to go and out in front of Peppertree frosty at 8:45 AM, don’t forget to pack whatever you need for success including your weapons. You will receive your strawberry patch at our booth afterward. So don’t forget to stop by.

🍓 ONE WEEK UNTIL THE VISTA STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL 🍓

CKA will once again be part of one of Vista’s favorite traditions and we would love to see our students and families out there with us all day long.

Our student demo team will be performing at 9:00 AM on the main stage directly across from Peppertree Frosty and every student participating in the demo will receive a special CKA Strawberry Patch.

Students who come to the festival wearing their karate uniform or CKA shirt can also stop by our booth — located across from Vista Village Pub — to receive a red participation star.

Whether you’re performing, helping at the booth, or just coming out to enjoy the festival, we’d love to have our CKA families there celebrating together.

Decades of training, leadership, sacrifice, and growth.

Today, Master Arango and I leave for the mountains to test for our 5th Dan ranks.

We have stood beside each other through years of teaching, challenges, victories, injuries, long nights, tournaments, belt tests, and the responsibility of helping shape the next generation. To now stand together once again on the testing floor at this level is something difficult to put into words.

There is something powerful about women continuing to pursue mastery deep into adulthood, not for attention, but for discipline, tradition, service, and the love of the art itself.

We are proud.
We are honored.
And we are ready.
