Itโs been one week since our seniors graduated, and we miss them already!
To send them off to bigger and better things, they had a jam-packed week of senior activities, followed by a beautiful graduation ceremony, and finally a full-on Grad Night at Universal Studios.
For Senior Activities Week, they hit the beach, spent a day at Dave & Busterโs, and enjoyed a special senior breakfast together.
At graduation, we heard from staff and numerous students, including three Spirit of Trade Tech recipients, two Salutatorians, and our Valedictorian.
Weโll be thinking of them wherever they go, and canโt wait to hear about how they make the most of this world!

๐ End of Year Awards Assembly โ What a Celebration! ๐
Today we took time to celebrate YOU and all the amazing things happening across campus!
Hereโs what made it special:
- Scholarships: Several seniors received awards from our generous community organizations to help launch their next chapter.
- Student Awards: Recognition for attendance, GPA, sports contributions, and success across multiple subjects.
- Teacher Awards: Each teacher handed out paper awards and a plaque to the students who shined brightest in their class.
- Grade-Level Honors: One student per grade recognized for Academic Achievement and one for Citizenship. 12th grade also crowned the overall โRockstarโ Award winner!
We kicked things off with live music from our student group, heard heartfelt speeches from teachers, and felt the energy as students cheered each other on the whole time.
So proud of this crew and the way they lift each other up. Hereโs to all your hard work! ๐

Yesterday, students embarked on a field trip to the San Diego Central Courthouse! They observed a real-life preliminary hearing, listening to evidence from officers on a burglary case and seeing firsthand how the legal process works. Students then took part in a mock trial, acting out roles and serving as jurors. The day wrapped up with a tour of the courthouse and insights from officers about their work. A big thank you to the courthouse staff for making this experience so engaging and informative!

Our annual College and Career Day was a huge success! Students participated in four sessions, exploring various pathways and gaining valuable insights from representatives of different organizations. They took notes, asked questions, and even enjoyed some hands-on activities and swag. The event culminated in a pizza party! ๐คฉ
This year, we also celebrated Spirit Week with a fun twist - students dressed as teachers and teachers dressed as students! ๐
We're grateful to the organizations that generously shared their time and expertise with us, including: Army, ABC, Marines, Miracosta College, Miracosta TCI, GCU, YMCA, Palomar College, SD County of Child Welfare, TechFlow, PIMA, Children's Paradise, and Vallecitos Water District. Thank you for helping inspire our students' futures!

Yesterday, a group of students were able to visit the Japanese Friendship Garden and Museum. They even got to experience a kamishibai (Japanese paper theater) performance from a professional actor! The students have been reading They Called Us Enemy by George Takei. This field trip provided them with more of an understanding and appreciation of Japanese culture. As the students continue to read and study Takei's graphic memoir, they will be able to better relate to the main character and consider the perspectives and values of those with a different worldview than their own. Thank you so much, , for hosting our school!
