So last night I was working on these guys and a lady walked up checking out Scrump and the Grogus. She asked if I sold them and how much. I told her it depends on the item and normally starting at $40. She gave me a look and was like oh cool. Then later, when I walked away, her and another lady were talking and saying that I charge too much. They could just get it at the store cheaper. Ok, look. $40 is cheap. The Grogus take me more than 4 hours or so to create. Adding the cost of materials, that's nothing. I totally undersell because of comments like that and because no one seems interested if I charge what my time is actually worth. Just disappointed as a fiber artist and small business owner that works so hard to create things I hope others will love.
