18 years ago in June Elite Team Visalia opened up in a small location, with 900 sq. ft of mats,no lights,no coolers....The goal was to teach jiu jitsu and create world class jiu jitsu athletes in an environment that was open and welcoming to anyone who wanted to train. We brought structure and discipline to our training style, inspired by our Judo roots. Now,in 2026, 18 years later,we are in a modern, air conditioned building, nearly 4000 sq. ft of mats, jiu jitsu and judo classes all day....morning until late evenings, and 10 affiliate academies spread across California and the U.S.
