Tuesday, TCOE celebrated the graduation of 12 young adults from Special Services AcCEL Programs in Tulare, including three Community Based Instruction Programs and the Maple Learning Complex. Many graduates are transitioning to community-based adult programs.

Yesterday afternoon, County Superintendent of Schools Tim Hire and members of the Tulare County Board of Education honored 33 teachers, administrators, and support staff who are retiring this year. The retirees – 16 of whom attended the board meeting – provided a total of 650 years of service to Tulare County students and school districts.
We are thankful to all our retirees for their contributions and the impact they made throughout the county!

The rain certainly didn't dampen the spirits of the La Sierra Class of 2026!
The ceremony, held last night, was a celebration of the 18 graduates from the La Sierra Military Academy and the Independent Study Program.
Attendees were treated to inspiring messages by Battalion Commander CPT Turner Olsen, Valedictorian Isaac Yañez, and Salutatorian Anthony Gonzalez. Numerous awards and scholarships were also presented.
La Sierra Charter School was established in 2000. The school is a member of the California Cadet Corps and offers a pathway that provides students the certification to begin careers in forestry and fire fighting.

Congratulations to the University Preparatory High School Class of 2026!
The class, which graduated last night, included 5 valedictorians and 17 salutatorians. Twenty-six students received the California Department of Education's Seal of Civic Engagement, while 14 students received the state's Seal of Biliteracy. Twenty-four students received Golden State Seal Merit Diplomas.
Eleven seniors in the Class of 2026 simultaneously obtained at least one associate’s degree from College of the Sequoias!
Congratulations seniors, staff, and parents!
UPHS is a free, public charter school located on the College of the Sequoias campus. The school prepares students for success in college and allows them to take college courses concurrently with their high school studies.
