Where does our water come from and where does it go? Project WET facilitators said that SEED teachers know our stuff when it comes to our local watersheds. Here we modeled rain in our watersheds with our bodies!

Looking forward to tomorrowโs Project WET workshop at COS!

We learned from tracks that Capinero Creek is a critter highway, and from bird sightings that Pixley Wildlife Refuge is an important stop on the Pacific Flyway. You canโt have these animals without plants to feed and shelter them, and we canโt have any of this without precious water! Thank you to everyone who made this an interdisciplinary and intergenerational SEED Gathering. ๐๏ธ๐๐พ๐ฑ๐๐ฆ

๐ง Meet a SEED Presenter!
At this monthโs SEED Gathering, get ready to be inspired by educator Roxana Flores from Woodville Union School District as she leads a hands-on workshop exploring groundwater recharge and the movement of water beneath our feet.
Through interactive soil models and infiltration experiments, Roxana will guide participants in uncovering how water flows underground and why it matters for land use, climate resilience, and community planning.
This is just one of the engaging workshops featured in Oaks to Aquifers: Designing our Future Watersheds at Kaweah Oaks Preserve.
