Where does our water come from and where does it go? Project WET facilitators said that SEED teachers know our stuff when it comes to our local watersheds. Here we modeled rain in our watersheds with our bodies!

We learned from tracks that Capinero Creek is a critter highway, and from bird sightings that Pixley Wildlife Refuge is an important stop on the Pacific Flyway. You canโ€™t have these animals without plants to feed and shelter them, and we canโ€™t have any of this without precious water! Thank you to everyone who made this an interdisciplinary and intergenerational SEED Gathering. ๐Ÿ”๏ธ๐Ÿ„๐ŸŒพ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ๐Ÿฆ†

๐Ÿ’ง Meet a SEED Presenter!

At this monthโ€™s SEED Gathering, get ready to be inspired by educator Roxana Flores from Woodville Union School District as she leads a hands-on workshop exploring groundwater recharge and the movement of water beneath our feet.

Through interactive soil models and infiltration experiments, Roxana will guide participants in uncovering how water flows underground and why it matters for land use, climate resilience, and community planning.

This is just one of the engaging workshops featured in Oaks to Aquifers: Designing our Future Watersheds at Kaweah Oaks Preserve.
