🐐 Look who's helping out in the Big Woods! 🌲

Four very hardworking (and hungry!) goat volunteers are on campus last week to help us tackle invasive weeds like buckthorn and burdock the natural way.

An idea born at the June Community Build Day finally came to life last week! Thanks to VAMS parent and rotational grazing expert Kelsey Vance, students on site got to watch the goats settle right in and start clearing the undergrowth.

The goats will be hanging out in their temporary fencing for just a few days before heading home, well long before the first day of school! 🎒🐐

This is all part of our exciting, year-long community effort to create amazing outdoor learning spaces across VAS campuses. Stay tuned for more updates this fall as our outdoor spaces come to life! 🌿✨

🥈 2nd Place – Shot Put

Behind every great school year is a dedicated team working tirelessly behind the scenes to inspire excellence. Our Viroqua Area Schools staff came together to learn from one another and build our future side by side.🫶

From collaborating and preparing classrooms to supporting students, strengthening partnerships, and creating opportunities to learn and grow, our staff continues to put students at the heart of all we do.

🌟Grounded in the goals adopted by our VAS Board over the summer, our District is fully committed to seeing 100% of our students make at least a year's growth annually, while working hard toward achieving 95% attendance for 100% of our students.

Here is to a new year filled with learning, growth, connection, and possibility. We are ready to make it an incredible one—together! 🧡✨
