I’m going to be in the US for a couple of months seeking more partner ministries. Yesterday a few ladies gathered for a picnic and today my sweet Luxembourg church ladies gave me a going-away gift.

Yesterday the team sang a couple of songs in our church service. One with the children from our group which had been at camp. We had a full house even with it now being summer vacations in Europe!

We are thankful for all that God accomplished to bring us to this point.

English camp day 1- We had 27 in attendance and two no shows, but yet another lady gave me money for those two. Still working on solving that mystery. I need a Sherlock Holmes hat!

Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, but we definitely have a number who know no more English than yes or no.

A couple of the mothers driving from France had a hour and a half drive each way because of traffic.

One young girl from the English speaking church had visited our church once last summer. She remembered me as her Sunday school teacher ( pretty much I was the only teacher all summer, so it’s pretty sure she remembered correctly). Then she added this statement, “I remember your glasses. But last summer you had gray hair and now it is white.”
Me, as I wrote this last sentence- groan and sigh…

English camp starts this Thursday and goes through Saturday. Please pray for the team who will be helping us, the travel each day of an hour or more for some of us, the weather, the lessons, the participants. We have 29 registered, ages 5-14.

I have an intern here for several weeks, so have taken more touristy pictures. Some are of Luxembourg after church one Sunday, some are from a small “medieval” town called Rodemack in France near the German and Luxembourg borders.

Graduation at the institute was a week ago and then this past Sunday we said goodbye to two of those graduates at church. They will definitely be missed. Not only did I pick them up for church on most Sundays, eat at Burger King with them afterward, but they were very active in everything from setup, cleanup, teaching children’s Sunday school, and helping with our teens.

Last weekend was our church camp weekend- messages from Ruth, fellowship, and beautiful weather. And lots of working together. It’s good for building unity and friendships.
