Yearly Management of Asparagus
Asparagus is an excellent perennial vegetable for northern Minnesota gardens. It can produce for up to 15 years and is one of the earliest vegetables to harvest, with a season lasting from early May to late June for 6 to 8 weeks. You can begin harvesting asparagus just 2 years after planting the roots and 3 years after planting the seeds. However, it's important to maintain the beds to ensure a successful harvest each year.
