Mary's Little Red Wagon Crochet

Mary's Little Red Wagon Crochet custom hand-made crochet designs for home and family. I was only 8 years old when my grandmother started teaching me how to crochet.

Being old school, she didn't realize a lefty should do differently. So, hook in right hand - off we went. This page is a place to share and sell my creations. A work in progress, will continue construction. Will include links to pattern source in comment of post, when possible.. many of the products are from patterns found in books I owned, work of mouth teaching, from the web, from sites no longer available or adaptation of skills & store bought items inspiring a new creation. Raverly is also a great site for ideas and patterns.

think I mentioned this before .. the "crochet club" at Lazy Daisy in VB is apparently never coming back from "summer hiatus" ..

guessing the organizer found it more profitable to charge $150 for 4 classes rather than share patterns and skills for free. Also, being on a Friday seriously limited attendance.

However, Marie's Crochet & Knit Group still meets 2 Saturdays a month at Pembroke Pizza. We offer free patterns, instructions, gossip, pizza and fun..

Just my opinion ... the general switch to the "fuzzy" or chenille type yarn for stuffies .. cute but only short-term.. they are made of short bits woven thru a carrier yarn and then twisted.. as the yarn stretches, if the item is washed those bits will start falling out. Leaving gaps. Except for special projects? sticking to regular acrylic yarn ... it's much MUCH softer that it was especially brands like Carron.
