Windsor Oaks Elementary School PTO The WOES PTO page is designed to keep the school community informed and connected. Any family member, neighbor, or friend can join. Volunteers: We need you!

Membership in the PTA will cost $5.00 per person and will still include a free pass for any of the fun events throughout the year. You can fill out a form and return it to school with your child/children if you wish to join or click on the JOIN tab here. Any class who achieves 100% membership by October 15 will be rewarded with an ice cream party (100% means 1 member for each child in the class). Monthly meetings are held to inform you of any upcoming events and spotlight a theme, concert, or other special activity. These meetings will be on the third Monday of each month at 6pm. When there is a need to change that date, we will send out a reminder. Fun Events will be planned once a month. Some of these are for the entire family such as Pizza & Pumpkins, Cookies with Santa, etc.,, then there will also be a few after-school dances for the children (parents are always welcome to attend these as well). Fun events will normally cost $5.00 per person and include some kind of snack or meal. Fundraisers: These will be held to help pay for assemblies, field trips, school store supplies, scholarships, and other school programs that need support from the PTA. Boxtops: We are collecting Boxtops again this year to help pay for a special event at the end of the year. There will also be a monthly drawing for anyone who submits boxtops. Two winners will be chosen each month to receive a prize. Volunteers are needed to make this a successful year. We had a record number of volunteers last year, and we would love to see that continue. We can use volunteers at any time of day or evening to help with PTA and school events such as the Fun Events, after-school clubs, lunch room, school store, etc. We can utilize many special skills so please let us know if there are any hobbies you enjoy that might be helpful. We can also use help in the form of donations of different kinds of things throughout the year if you are unable to help in person. Windsor Oaks Elementary PTA is offering two $500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are in good standing with Virginia Beach City Public Schools. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or better and must have attended Windsor Oaks for at least two full school years. Applications may be downloaded from www.vbschools.com (scholarship central) or may be picked up from the Windsor Oaks office. Applications must be submitted by April 22nd and be accompanied by a 150 word essay, two letters of recommendation, and an official school transcript. Together we can make this a very fun and educating year for our children. Please join us in any way you can!

Provided rewards for classroom treasure boxes ⭐️
Purchased a mobile speaker to play music at drop off 🎶 🔈
Provided a new drying rack for the art room 🎨
Spread holiday cheer to students ❄️
Showed our appreciation for our custodial staff, and principal 🎁
Started the WOES alumni scholarship fund 🧑‍🎓
Hosted a well attended fundraiser at Carrabbas!
