AppState Operation Smile

Appalachian State University's Operation Smile Club Every three minutes a child is born with a cleft.

One in 10 of those children will not live until their first birthdays. Children who do survive are frequently unable to speak, socialize, eat, or even smile. Often parents are unable to pay for the surgeries that could change these children's lives forever.
